Following the methods set by the National Park Service, volunteers worked in pairs to document the conditions of the 156 marked graves.
As the surveyors filled out their survey forms, two photography businesses offered their time and resources. Storm Cloud Photography took individual photos of each gravesite while Juki Photography took documentary photos of the volunteers.

Now that the initial land survey is complete, we can begin the next phase of the conservation initiative!
Using Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) and Global Positional Software (GPS), we will be able to create maps of what is above and below the cemetery's surface, and then compare them to determine how accurately the grave marker placements are, if any graves are missing markers, and how many individuals are buried at Ormega Cemetery.
